The Milwaukee Brewers have agreed to terms on a deal with Gio Gonzalez.

The left-hander opted out of his Minor League deal with the New York Yankees over the weekend.

Gonzalez will reportedly receive a base salary of $2 million with incentives on top of that.

The expectation is that he'll start for the Brewers.

The New York Mets again appear interested in Gio Gonzalez, according to a report.

Gonzalez opted out of his Minor League contract with the New York Yankees on Saturday and the Mets are "keeping a close eye on" the situation.

The Mets considered signing Gonzalez during the offseason.

The New York Yankees have agreed to a minor league deal with first baseman Logan Morrison, the team announced Friday.

The deal includes an opt-out date of July 1, and Morrison, 31, will make $1 million if he's added to the major league roster, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan.

Dallas Keuchel is believed to be open to a one-year deal at this point in his free agency, according to a report.

The report lists the Milwaukee Brewers, Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres and Houston Astros as possible landing spots.

If Keuchel signs after June's Major League Draft, he wouldn't be tied to pick compensation.

The Oakland Athletics have signed Khris Davis to a two-year extension worth $33.5 million.

Davis is batting .260 with a major league-leading 10 home runs and 20 RBIs this season.

The Washington Nationals and Anthony Rendon met before batting practice on Tuesday to discuss a possible contract extension.

It's a sign that there's mutual interest in a deal and Rendon confirmed that it took place.

Washington general manager Mike Rizzo and owner Mark Lerner were present at the meeting.

A deal with Rendon became more likely when the Nationals didn't re-sign Bryce Harper.

Kyler Murray, who was the ninth pick in last year's MLB draft, is expected to be a high pick in next week's NFL draft and seemingly intends to play football.

The Oakland Athletics, who drafted Murray, have tried to keep him in baseball by any means necessary.

According to a report, the A's have offered him an additional $14 million in guaranteed money.

The A's had originally signed Murray to a pact that included a signing bonus nearing $5 million. In other words, they would've been willing to guarantee him around $19 million before he'd played in a regular-season game.

Craig Kimbrel is moving "closer" to a decision on where he will sign his next contract, according to a source.

However, the decision remains fluid and there is no clear favorite to sign the reliever.

The Milwaukee Brewers are among the teams have have spoken to Kimbrel's agent in recent weeks.

The New York Mets inquired about Dallas Keuchel recently, according to a report.

Neither side is very confident in a deal being reached soon.

Keuchel, 30, is coming off a season with a 3.74 ERA in 204 2/3 innings.

Craig Kimbrel continues to seek a multi-year deal worth around $15 million annually, according to a report.

Kimbrel wants a three-year deal worth between $40 million to $50 million.

There are no shortage of teams with enough luxury tax space to sign Kimbrel and remain flexible prior to the trade deadline.
